Aiming for premium Web cache, JAGUAR5000 based on 64bit kernel engine supports up to 32GB memory and multi terabytes of cache storage along with the latest hardware. Jaguar Cache Operating System
JAGUAR O/S dedicated for caching operation makes it possible to create Gigabit performance. On top of that, based on the latest Linux platform, it is compatible with diverse drivers and efficiently modified O/S structures. The key features of JAGUAR cache operating system are as below,
MCT (Minimal Context Thread system)
JAGUAR's innovative kernel engine based on MCT is to create a thread system that performs like a well-crafted asynchronous system enabling faster context switching and scheduling. MCT is already capable of handling a million sessions efficiently leading to significant improvements in performance. In addition, MCT speeds up processing by creating only one thread for one CPU core, and guarantees scalable performance improvement for a number of CPU cores. And it was implemented for developing and solving problems easily.
WCOS (Web Cache Object Storage)
Cache performance depends on the performance of CPUs as much as on the performance of storage devices. JAGUAR5000 offers outstanding support for multiple processors by spreading many complex web caching algorithms to multiple CPUs which can increase processing capability.
Capacity
64bit Engine/32 GB Memory
JAGUAR5000 supports 64-bit kernel operation, which can employ memory up to 32Gbytes. The larger the memory is, the more objects can be cached in memory. This leads to improved throughput and dramatically reduced response time. In addition, high capacity of RAM specs directly affects disk capacity for cache server. So a small number of JAGUAR5000 servers would replace a large number of servers of web server cluster.
Terabytes Disk
As datacenter is enlarging and the traffic at large scale of portals and shopping malls is increasing, large size of cache storage is being more required. Especially, as multimedia contents are widely used, they become the bottleneck of the web latency. Multimedia contents are very large in size, so they cause to overuse the bandwidth of content provider. JAGUAR5000 solved this problem through WCOS technology, processing multimedia contents caching efficiently up to terabytes disk.
A Million of Concurrent Connections
Since JAGUAR5000 supports large amount of concurrent connections, JAGUAR5000 can service numerous user access to one-time event (e.g. traffic surge to hot issue news site) without failure. At the same time JAGUAR5000 can protect web servers from SYN Attack/Denial of Service (DoS) Attack because JAGUAR5000's connection pool plays a role of large buffer. JAGUAR3000 effectively manages approximate 200,000 connections between clients and servers.
