Smart GLB Features
DNS and HTTP Redirection mode

Smart GLB applies the DNS and HTTP redirection technique to quickly connect a client to a server. The DNS mode will return the IP address of the selected server according to the client’s DNS request. In a HTTP request by the client, the HTTP redirection mode includes a redirection code in the HTTP message header to direct the client’s web browser to the selected server.
Static & Dynamic Binding
Static binding directs a request sent from the client in the network to the nearest server. The location of servers are predefined in a global load balancing database by the network manager.
Dynamic binding locates the best server using a RTT ( round trip time ) & NHOP ( number of hop ) between the client and severs. Also a GLB database is created, this is useful in case there is no predefined GLB DB.
Fail Over Detection
Smart GLB makes it possible to distribute web and cache servers to multiple networks for faster content delivery. Using HTTP & ICMP protocols, it regularly checks the health of the web or cache server in each ISP. If a problem is detected in a specific server it is removed from the server cluster group.
Local Load Balancing
The Smart GLB can also be used as a local load balancer in replace of a L4 S/W or dispatcher. According to the need the local or global setting can be selected.
Web Based Admin Tools
Web accessed based GUI tools are provided to quickly & easily check and configure the status of the Smart GLB & web server in real time.
